The project involved moving an existing property-maintenance website from Darwin CMS to WordPress while rebuilding the public-facing structure around the new platform. The homepage was recreated from the ground up, and most of the internal service pages were rebuilt rather than simply copying the legacy site into WordPress.

CMS migration and page rebuild

The legacy site structure was reviewed alongside its sitemap and URLs before the WordPress implementation was prepared. The migration included the homepage, service content and a broader page structure that could be managed inside WordPress after the move.

Elementor was used for the page implementation, including interactive service cards and reusable page sections. The work focused on translating the existing site into a structure that was practical to maintain instead of treating the migration as a direct one-to-one CMS export.

URL, DNS and SSL work

The migration also included review of the site’s URLs and canonical behavior. Redirect handling was prepared where required so the move did not leave conflicting versions of important URLs after the platform change.

Cloudflare, DNS and SSL were part of the infrastructure work around the migration. RunCloud was also used within the hosting environment, so the project covered both the WordPress build and the configuration needed around the application itself.

Staging to production

The rebuilt site was prepared and checked in staging before production work. This included resolving issues that appeared between the staging and live environments, reviewing the production URL setup and making sure the WordPress structure, redirects and infrastructure were ready to work together after the move.

The finished scope combined the CMS migration, page rebuild, URL structure and production setup into one WordPress implementation rather than handling each part as a separate task.
